Donations & Thank Yous
Charitable Donations
In order to support our costs of helping animals in times of disaster, we are always seeking unique and fun opportunities for fundraising.
100% Volunteer Charitable Organization
ALERT would not exist without the generous support of our donors. Your monthly or 1X donation helps us provide emergency animal rescues, evacuations, shelter & support during natural disasters.
Your financial contribution (over $20) is 100% tax deductible.
Cookie Walk
Every December in Penticton, we hold a cookie sale which we call the Cookie Walk. Volunteers bake many assorted varieties of cookies which buyers can select and mix and pay for by the pound/kilogram. This fundraiser has proven to be extremely popular and has now become a tradition amongst many followers.
Grant 2022
Regional District of the Okanagan Similkameen
ALERT would like to send a huge “Thank You” to the Regional District of the Okanagan Similkameen (RDOS) for their generous $10,000.00 grant. ALERT operates completely on grants and donations, so this money will go a long way to help with our operations budget, which includes training volunteers in animal care, use of respirators/oxygen administration training, and upgrading our volunteer uniforms. ALERT is grateful to the RDOS for recognizing the important work ALERT does. Animals are family and their safe evacuation gives way to human evacuation.

Grant 2021
Central Okanagan Foundation
Special thanks to the Central Okanagan Foundation for their amazing grant which allowed us to provide laptop computers and software to support our commanders, branch coordinators, trainers, and safety officer in the Central Okanagan. These computers are being used during emergencies and disasters, and for support activities in non-disaster times.
Special Thanks
We would like to extend our gratitude to the following businesses who contributed pet food, supplies and/or fostering for the animals in our care. And, a HUGE thank-you from the evacuated animals and their families in their time of need.
